Robert Menzies
quits state parliament to contest the federal seat of Kooyong as a United
Australia Party candidate.
On 15 September
Menzies wins the seat of Kooyong and enters Federal Parliament. He is
immediately appointed Attorney-General and Minister for Industry, positions
held until March 1939.
